warm greeting romantic decor fun conversation parking possibility small room extra charge
the staff greeted me warmly each morning. fun conversations occurred during happy hour. the decor of the hotel felt romantic and well-considered.
there was no parking possibility in front. i found this inconvenient upon arrival. the room felt quite small and cramped. there was also an extra charge for sparkling water during breakfast which i didn't understand.

Really good Hotel Experience
luxurious tub rainfall shower delicious room service
The soaking tub was luxurious. The rainfall shower was fantastic. The room service was delicious. It felt rare to get good room service. The building is historic, but everything functions well. The staff showed kindness and attentiveness. Every window has a great view.
The breakfast was too expensive compared to the portion size.

Really good Stay!
city knowledge helpful staff amazing food convenient menu
The staff demonstrated vast knowledge of the city. They were helpful before my visit. I saw many beautiful city sights in my four days. The Wallace lounge bar had AMAZING food!!! I was happy to eat from the menu in the hotel every night.
The valet service returned my car covered in dust. It required a wash. This was a SLIGHT inconvenience.

The hotel is ideally situated for visits to several attractions. Edinburgh Castle, The National Portrait Gallery, and Holyrood Palace are nearby. I walked to ALL of them easily.

My room had a Scottish theme with modern comforts. The room included technology unlike anything I had ever experienced. The suite faced the front and looked out onto the castle.

exquisite stay!
warm welcome complimentary champagne handwritten note
The staff greeted us immediately upon arrival and managed our luggage carefully. i particularly enjoyed the complimentary champagne we had in the wallace restaurant. the room had a handwritten note and cake, commemorating our anniversary. That was a beautiful touch.
during my stay, i noticed that there wasn't any parking available directly in front of the hotel. this absence of immediate parking was a slight inconvenience upon arrival, i must say.

The breakfast included various choices with fresh ingredients. the room had blackout curtains and a comfortable bed. there was a nespresso machine available in the room. It provided coffee and tea.
the elevator was somewhat slow at peak times though it was rarely an issue.

the staff offered really good service. alastair reached out before arrival. staff addressed me by name throughout my stay at the hotel.
the hotel lacks parking. it would have been helpful if they mentioned it. the noise from the street affected our sleep.
